Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the person who died in a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident in the 2800 block of Augusta Road in the West Columbia area of Lexington County, Wednesday.

According to Fisher, Mr. Zackary Ryan Rose, 30, of Lexington, was crossing Augusta Road when he was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound on Augusta Road. Mr. Rose was pronounced dead on the scene due to the injuries sustained in the collision. The driver remained on the scene and was not injured.

The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and the West Columbia Police Department continue to investigate the incident.
