C-WC Chamber’s Rabbit Run races through the Cayce Riverwalk, Arts District and West Columbia River District, Saturday – Get the Details
The Greater Cayce-West Columbia Chamber’s Cares Foundation is presenting the Riverwalk Rabbit Run Saturday. It starts at 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
Part of the race course is along the Cayce Riverwalk. “We’ll run beside the beautiful, flowing waters of the Congaree River,” said Tim James, President and CEO of the C-WC Chamber. “It’s the only 5K that is allowed to run on Riverwalk.”
James also said around 40 students from Gray Collegiate Academy and Spring Valley High School will be running and working as volunteers for the race. Proceeds from the run go to schools and a fund for small businesses that experience a tragedy.
The run starts on State Street in West Columbia’s River District and proceeds into Cayce’s Arts District before turning toward the entrance to the Cayce Riverwalk. Runners will leave the Riverwalk at the Blossom Street Bridge and run by the historic Guignard Brickworks before tuning onto Alexander Road. The race ends at the West Columbia Riverwalk Amphitheater, where the post-race festivities will be held.
Whether you’re running, walking, or cheering from the sidelines, the Riverwalk Rabbit Run is a great way to get active and connect with the community. Sign up at Strictlyrunning.com/CWCRabbit
