Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the person who died in a vehicle vs.
pedestrian accident at the intersection of Platt Springs Road and Sandy Springs Lane in Lexington County on Monday.

According to Fisher, Mr. Brian Austin Robinson, 34, of Lexington, was crossing Platt Springs
Road when he was struck by a vehicle traveling eastbound on Platt Springs Road. Mr. Robinson was
pronounced dead on scene due to the injuries sustained in the collision. The driver remained on scene
and was not injured.

The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol continue to investigate
the incident.
