
SCDOT to conduct nighttime detour on new bridge over Saluda River, and temporarily close I-126 Westbound off-ramp to Colonial Life Boulevard
The South Carolina Department of Transportation will conduct a temporary nighttime lane closure on the new bridge over the Saluda River (Exit 108 B-A) on March 11 beginning at 10 p.m. and ending at 4 a.m. on March 12.
This closure is necessary to complete the installation of new overhead signage over the bridge as part of Phase 1 of the Carolina Crossroads Project.
Traffic will be detoured using I-26 westbound to I-20 westbound to I-26 eastbound. Motorists will be directed to follow the detour onto I-126 eastbound and are encouraged to allow for additional travel time.
Message boards, lane closure and detour signs will be placed along I-26 westbound to inform motorists of the detour and temporary traffic pattern.

Also: The South Carolina Department of Transportation will temporarily close the I-126 Westbound off-ramp to Colonial Life Boulevard for construction as part of the Carolina Crossroads Project beginning at 9 p.m. March 11. Traffic will be detoured to Greystone Boulevard before the exit.
This closure will take place in two parts:
- March 11 from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. on March 12
- March 12 from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. on March 13
