Update: Update: Most of the road was back open by 4:30 p.m., Thursday. The Westbound lanes were back to normal traffic and the eastbound lanes were closed. The eastbound traffic is routed through median. Dominion is staying on scene, but the leak has been mitigated.

West Columbia Fire Department units are working with a Dominion Energy crew to repair a gas leak in the 1700 block of Platt Springs Road near the intersection of Denham Drive. The WCPD reported the incident at around 3 p.m. Thursday.,
