SCDOT to conduct nighttime detour on new bridge over Saluda River as part of Carolina Crossroads Project
The South Carolina Department of Transportation will conduct a temporary nighttime lane closure on the new bridge over the Saluda River (Exit 108 B-A) on March 5 beginning at 10 p.m. and ending at 4 a.m.
This closure is necessary to complete the installation of new overhead signage over the bridge as part of Phase 1 of the Carolina Crossroads Project.
Traffic will be detoured using I-26 westbound to I-20 westbound to I-26 eastbound. Motorists will be directed to follow the detour onto I-126 eastbound and are encouraged to allow for additional travel time.
Message boards, lane closure and detour signs will be placed along I-26 westbound to inform motorists of the detour and temporary traffic pattern.
Visit the Carolina Crossroads project webpage for more information and updates. The public may also contact the project hotline at 800-601-8715.
