In the City of Cayce, 7th Street between Lafayette (“L”) and Michaelmas (“M”) Avenues will be closed while a repair is being made to a sewer line. The announcement was made about 5:20 p.m. Tuesday.

As a City, Cayce works to be prepared for these types of emergencies and the city does not anticipate any disruption of service to the surrounding homes and businesses at this time.

The lines are being rerouted to bypass the area needing the repair overnight and contractors will dig and make the needed repairs first thing Wednesday morning.
