Lexington County operations on a delay, Thursday, West Columbia services altered, and Cayce City Hall will open at 10:30 a.m.
All Lexington county administrative offices will operate on a two-hour delay on Thursday, January 23, 2025, due to winter weather and hazardous roadways.
The following offices are expected to open at 10:00 a.m.:
- • County Libraries
- • County Judicial Facilities
- • Lexington County Recreations and Aging Commission Offices and Activities
- • County Administration offices
- • Lexington County Judicial Center
- • Lexington County Magistrate Courts
The Chapin, Gilbert-Summit and South Congaree-Pine Ridge library branches will open as normal at 11 a.m. The Lexington County Landfill will open on a 3 hour delay beginning at 10 a.m. The County’s Curbside collection operations will also be on a delay. Residents are urged to monitor the County’s website, lex-co.sc.gov, and social media channels for updated County information.
West Columbia City Hall will be closed on Thursday, Jan. 23, due to anticipated black ice and hazardous road conditions. All West Columbia parks will remain closed until further notice. All Thursday sanitation and recycling routes will run on Friday, Jan. 24.
