Gray Collegiate Academy boys soccer coach Kevin Heise reached the 500-win mark Tuesday, as the War Eagles claimed a 5-2 Region 3-2A victory at Columbia High School. The win improved GCA to 3-2-0 overall and 3-0 in conference action.

Heise, now in his 30th season as a Varsity Boys Soccer Head Coach, is one of just four Palmetto State boys varsity coaches to reach this plateau. Nationally, only 60-70 boys prep coaches have reached this milestone. Heise joins the likes of South Carolina coaches (winning totals entering 2021 season): Phil Savitz (River Bluff); Billy Andrews (West Florence); and William Hosea (retired):
