Greater Cayce West Columbia Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Programs- Parade Day, Parade of Lights- Presented by Lexington Medical Center is Saturday, 24,000 came last year
A time of Community Celebration, where everyone can Love Local, Shop Local and Dine Local, all while celebrating the holiday season in various locations.
Begin your weekend on Friday evening, December 13th, as two Christmas movies will be shown on the football field at Brookland Cayce High School, this event is free- and will begin at sunset.
Saturday, December 14, 12 pm to 4 pm is Parade Day – where you can Visit the North Pole, (also known as the CWC Chamber office at 1006 12th St.) and experience the enchantment of the North Pole with Family fun, along with live music, children’s fun activities and more.
Throughout the day you can “Hop on and Hop Off of the Holiday Parade Day Shuttle that runs in a circle around Cayce and West Columbia with numerous stops that allow you to shop, dine and patronize the local businesses.
5:30pm: The Holiday Parade of Lights
The highlight of the day unfolds as the streets come alive with the spectacular Holiday Parade of Lights, where last year over 24,000 people attended and watched as the magic of the season comes to life with thousands and thousands of lights dressing up hundreds of floats, cars and other parade vehicles. The Parade Grand Marshal this year will be Lexington County Council Lady Debbie Summers, who has announced her retirement from County Council after honorably serving for 2 decades.
