Gray Collegiate Academy’s varsity competitive cheer team took first place at the Battle at the Bluff on Saturday, Sept. 12. Gray won in the 4A Division. The competition was held at River Bluff High School in Lexington.

Gray, of West Columbia, also took first place in 4A at the Hartsville “Foxy” Invitational Cheer Competition on Oct. 5, and first place in the War Eagle Invitational on Sept. 21. The team is coached by Griffin Woods and the assistant coach is Olivia Lyles.

The Gray Collegiate Academy Cheer Squad won the Class 2A State Championship in 2023. It was the second consecutive year Gray has won the Cheer Championship.
