Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the person who died in a multi-vehicle accident at the intersection of Longview Street and Boiling Springs Road in the Lexington area of Lexington County at approximately 7:37 a.m., Tuesday.

According to Fisher, Ms. Nita Lynn Regino, 52, of Lexington was traveling northbound on Longview Street when she attempted to turn westbound onto Boiling Springs Road. Ms. Regino, who was wearing a seatbelt, was struck by a vehicle traveling eastbound on Boiling Springs Road. She was pronounced dead at the scene due to the injuries sustained in the collision.

The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol continue to investigate the incident.
