Parent Arrested at River Bluff High School
An arrest has been made due to an incident of disturbing the school at River Bluff High School that occurred Wednesday, according to Lexington Police Chief Terrence Green.
Officers were alerted to a suspicious person in the front lobby of the school. Upon further investigation, it was discovered the subject was a parent. The subject bypassed the security measures in the front office and entered the library. She began to act aggressively toward a school employee, yelling, cursing, and threatening to assault the employee.
This behavior caused the school to go into a secure status and students were evacuated from the common area as precautionary measures. The subject followed the victim to the front lobby when School
Resource Officers were notified.
Danielle Cato, age 34, of Lexington, was arrested Wednesday afternoon in connection to the incident. She was charged with Disturbing Schools and Assault and Battery, 3rd degree. She will be required to appear tomorrow morning at Lexington County Bond Court.
