US Rep. Joe Wilson of Springdale is back on the job after a health scare last week. He experienced a “severe blood pressure drop” and fainted on Tuesday, Sept. 10, in Washington DC. He was immediately taken to George Washington University Hospital. He said he received “excellent care for a speedy recovery” there.
Wilson released a YouTube video Monday, giving an update on his condition. “With a pacemaker implant, issues have now been resolved for my public service,” Wilson said in the video.
Wilson also said he and his wife, Roxanne, are grateful “for the hundreds of messages and prayers by constituents. Dozens of congressional colleagues, House and Senate, Republicans and Democrats, have been so thoughtful.”
