The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department started a death investigation, Friday morning, after a body was found floating in Lake Murray near the dam.

The body has been recovered. Crime scene investigators and major crimes detectives are on the scene as part of our ongoing work on the case.

The Lexington County Coroner’s Office will determine cause and manner of death and identify the person, pending notification of family members. (LCSD photo)
