Lexington County Coroner releases the identity of the man who died in a house fire
Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the individual who died in a house fire that occurred in the 1200 block of Charles Town Road in the Leesville area of Lexington County shortly after 12:00 PM on Monday
According to Coroner Fisher, Mr. Craig Raymond Kustermann, 54, of Leesville, was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy is scheduled for September 12, 2024, at 11:00 AM at MUSC in Charleston.
We are conducting a death investigation with the County of Lexington, SC Fire Service and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division – SLED at a home on Charles Town Road.
The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department reported: “A body has been found in a home that burned this afternoon.” At this time, we are not searching for any suspects as part of our ongoing work on the case.
The incident remains under investigation by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department and the Lexington County Coroner’s Office.
