The First Baptist Church in Gaston will celebrate its 200th Anniversary on Sunday, August 25. The church will hold a bi-centennial service at 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 25, with a lunch afterward in an air conditioned tent.

First Baptist Church in Gaston will also conduct a tent revival from August 21-23, with a 7 p.m. service each night. Former Pastors will come and preach and there will be special singers each night.
Pastor Brady Henderson said the church has experienced tremendous growth in the last three years, including 149 membership additions, with 79 Baptisms.
