West Columbia City Council presented USC Men’s Basketball Coach Lamont Paris, a West Columbia resident, with a resolution at Council’s Special Council Meeting on Monday.
Paris’ accomplishments:

• Led the USC Men’s Basketball team to its best season ever (26-8) and an NCAA Tournament return
• Paris was named the SEC Coach of the Year and was a finalist for national coaching awards
• Engineered the program’s biggest single-season turnaround with 15 wins
• Led the team to a program record-breaking 13-5 record in SEC play

The Mayor and City Council recognize Coach Paris, his staff, and the entire team for their incredible dedication and achievements. Love having him as a WeCo resident!
