Nicolas Gilcrese has been named as the new principal of Riverbank Elementary School, according to a post on the RES Facebook page. He replaces David Sims, who just retired after more than 35 years in the Lexington Two School District.

Gilcrese is from Rock Hill, he said. He is married and has four daughters, according to his bio. Gilcrese said he has dedicated himself to the field of education for more than 20 years.
