The summer hours for the West Columbia Meeting Street Artisan Market are from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursdays. The market is at 425 Meeting Street, adjacent to the West Columbia Interactive Art Park. D’s Wings and Savage Craft Ale Works are also close-by. 

Meeting Street Artisan Market  vendors like the vibe of the new Thursday evening hours.

“It’s really nice at the market in the evening,” said Andrea Williams of Fire Barrel Farm. “I was at the first Thursday night market on June 6 and I liked it.”

Andrea is truly a local artisan and producer.

“I have my own bees and I produce local honey,” she said. In addition to honey, Andrea, who grew up on The Avenues in West Columbia, brings vegetables, including squash, cucumbers and tomatoes to the market. Aand she plans to bring corn. She sells homemade jams and jellies, and eggs, too.

“I grow everything I sell on my farm,” she said. “It’s grown right here in Lexington County. I like keeping it local.”

Artist Kristin Holzer will be at the West Columbia Meeting Street Artisan Market all summer long. She is highly recommended her for localized paintings, wood burning, and pencil art.

“I am so excited to be back at Meeting Street Artisan Market for the summer series,” Kristin said. “I can’t wait to see everyone who comes out. It is so much fun and I thank the City of West Columbia for providing the market.”

You can also find Kristin Holzer prints at State Street Trading Co. at 134 State St. West Columbia. Kristin Holzer Art subject matter includes the Gervais Street Bridge, sites on the USC campus and an avenue of moss-draped oak trees. 

Lauren Hollis of Aurora Meadows is another summer regular at the West Columbia Meeting Street Artisan Market. She will be at the market this summer. Lauren has Lexington County grown floral favorites, along with mixed bouquets in several sizes, featuring  blooms and flowers from other South Carolina farms.
