Irmo Fire crews were still on the scene of an early, before dawn, Sunday morning structure fire in the 200 block of Zephyr Street.

With help from partners at County of Lexington, SC Fire Department, West Columbia Fire Department and Columbia Fire Department (SC) the fire was put under control. There were no injuries and the cause is under investigation.

Crews faced heavy fire conditions on arrival and had to contend with a melted gas meter and gas leak. The house was destroyed by the fire.
