Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the motorcyclist who died in collision that occurred in the 500 block of Boiling Springs Road at approximately 4:50 p.m., Wednesday.

According to Fisher, Mr. Marvin L. Drawdy, 59, of Lexington was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries sustained.  Mr. Drawdy, who was not wearing a helmet, collided with the rear of a van that had slowed to make a turn. The driver of the van was not injured.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the collision.
