Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the individual who died in a multi-
vehicle accident near the 61-mile marker of I-20 eastbound in the Lexington area of Lexington County at approximately 9:45 a.m., Wednesday.

According to Fisher, Mr. Andre Tyrone Eason, 30, of Augusta, GA was disabled with his vehicle
in the road after his enclosed trailer came loose from the vehicle. Mr. Eason was outside of the vehicle when a vehicle struck the enclosed trailer. Mr. Eason was struck by the enclosed trailer and
pronounced dead on scene. Two occupants of other vehicles were transported to an area hospital with
non-life-threatening injuries.

The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol continue to investigate the
incident.
