The Lexington County Fire Service responded to a residential structure fire around 10:30 a.m. on Monday, in the 600 block of Amicks Ferry Road in the Chapin area.

The two-story home was well-involved as fire crews arrived on the scene. Crews from Irmo Fire District and Columbia Fire Department (SC) also responded to the fire.

One adult and three children were inside at the time of the fire but all escaped safely and were not injured. The house is a total loss. The American Red Cross is assisting the family (two adults and six children). Lexington County Fire Marshals are investigating the cause of the fire. (Lexington County Photos)
