Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the individual who died in a single-
motorcycle accident in the 300 block of Shelton Road in the West Columbia area of Lexington County at approximately 8:15 p.m., Saturday.

According to Fisher, Mr. Jerome Lamar Stutts, 51, of Lexington was traveling westbound on
Shelton Road when he traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a culvert. Mr. Stutts, who was
wearing a helmet, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol continue to investigate the
incident.
