There was a large water main break on Lake Murray Blvd., in Irmo, Thursday. Lake Murray Blvd. was closed to vehicle traffic at Irmo Drive (the direction heading from the dam to I-26.) Irmo Fire crews worked with Irmo Police and the water district to set up a detour and traffic control.
The closure was expected to be long-term. No word on its reopening.
