Shortly after 11:15 Monday morning the Irmo Fire District responded to a reported fire at a vacant commercial building on the 1100 block of Bush River Road.

Firefighters arrived on scene to find heavy smoke coming from the building. Crews made entry and began an attack on the fire.

No one was found inside the building and no one was injured. The scene was been brought under control and the cause of the fire will be investigated by the Richland County Fire Marshal’s Office.
