Irmo Fire District crews were on the scene of a structure fire in the 300 block of Hempsted Road, Monday. Damage was minor and there were no injuries. The cause is currently under investigation.

Rail work did not hamper the response. Irmo Fire has modified its operational plans and redeployed resources during the rail project in order to maintain coverage and service delivery.
