Irmo Fire District units were on scene of an apartment fire on, Wednesday morning. Heavy fire was coming from a section of the apartment complex when crews arrived. With help from Lexington County Fire, Columbia Fire and West Columbia Fire, the fire was quickly brought under control. The building suffered substantial damage with several units destroyed. There were no injuries, the cause is currently under investigation.
