Overstock Marketplace on Sunset Boulevard in West Columbia is now a site for vendors
An existing West Columbia Business has evolved into a new format.
Overstock Bins opened in West Columbia’s Sunset Court at 2271 Sunset Boulevard in Aug. 2021 as a “great deals on grab-bag” items dumped in bins. That business transitioned into a vendor-based site called “Overstock Marketplace” in early October.
“Interest has been tremendous since we’ve brought vendors in,” said Stephen Hennessey, owner. He runs the place with Fred Jones and Suzanne Manor, his mom.
In the first week of the new format, Overstock Marketplace had 50 applications from vendors who wanted to set up, Hennessey said. Now there are 95 vendors and it will expand to 130. Being sold are: collectables, artificial Christmas trees, candles, furniture, toys, clothing, and more.
A vendor section costs $150 a month, and $50 for a shelf. Overstocked Marketplace gets 10 percent.
Before it was Overstocked Bins, the store was the location of Dream Deals.
