Cayce Action Group President Andrae Odom thanked all that helped in the first annual Turkey Box Giveaway conducted in the Cayce-Pokemo Community, Tuesday.

“We distributed more than 70 boxes and turkeys,” Odom said. CAG Vice President “Vette” Michelle Franklin was on-site to deliver the food and Cayce City Councilman Byron Thomas.

New Life Baptist Church on Julius Felder St. was the focal point and CAG Founders Kenneth Hopkins and Vaughn Wilson were there to help with the newly-found 501(3)C food distribution. Many of the boxes came from Food Lion, donated by customers.

“It was truly a team effort,” said Tyler Helms, CAG Communications Director. “And it was a great day to help those who needed it.”
