West Columbia Police Department responded to the report of a vehicle collision with two fatalities near the 12th Street and B Avenue intersection. It was reported around 9 p.m. Friday, but the crash occurred before 9 p.m.

The WCPD later reported that officers had taken 24-year-old Joshua R Yarborough of West Columbia into custody for two counts of Felony DUI resulting in Death and one count of leaving the scene of an accident stemming from the incident. Mr. Yarborough will be transported to the Lexington County Detention Center to await bond court. The investigation into this incident is ongoing and more information will be released as it becomes available.
