Alexander Place is a mixed-use development with new apartments and retail space planned for the corner of Augusta Street and Alexander Road.

The project of four parcels at and near 326 Alexander Rd. and 101 Augusta St., includes a renovated garage that’s on the property and an 8-unit apartment building.

Renderings show a coffee shop, a bistro and a salon, but those are just possible uses for the buildings.
The developer is Wes Taylor. He is the developer of Congaree Park, which is across the street from the planned new development that will sit on .75 acres. Signs recently were placed on the property showing what the property would look like.

West Columbia City Council passed final reading to allow the project on June 19.
