Savage Craft Ale Works opens to large crowds
Savage Craft Ale Works hosted its grand opening Saturday at 430 Center St.
The courtyard, where the band played, and the inside of the building, along with the rooftop bar were packed all day Saturday.
It was a cool day, but heaters and fires in pits helped ease the chill in the outside areas. There was parking at West Columbia’s Interactive Art Park, the City’s Parking Garage under the Brookland development, at State and Court Avenue, and at Capitol Square.
“We’re thrilled with the opening,” said a member of the management. And there were four of the brewery’s beers being offered, Saturday.
The planning of Savage Craft started in 2018. It’s in the former Brookland City Hall and Fire Station.
