One person was killed in a collision on US 378 in Lexington County, Tuesday evening.

A 1996 Dodge van hit a 2019 Chevrolet Corvette, according to Master Trooper David Jones of the SC Highway Patrol.

The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of Shorty Road and US 378.

The driver of the Corvette pulled out onto the road and was hit by the van. The driver of the Corvette died at the scene, The driver of the van was taken to the hospital.

The crash is under investigation by the SCHP.
