3 Brookland-Cayce students have been accepted into Governor’s School
Three Brookland-Cayce High School students have been accepted into Governor’s School programs for the 2023-2024 school year.
Brock Jones will be attending Governor’s School for the Arts in Greenville with an emphasis on drama. The residential high school for sophomores, juniors, and seniors gives artistically talented students from across the state the opportunity to receive pre-professional training in creative writing, dance, drama, music, and visual arts, according to the website.
Jordyn Boulet and Rishi Patel will be heading to Hartsville for the South Carolina Governor’s School for Science and Mathematics. This residential high school is for academically motivated juniors and seniors who are pursuing studies in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), according to the website, and it is considered one of the top STEM high schools nationwide.
