Congaree River water level is running high, cresting, after lots of rain
The Congaree River at Columbia crested at just under 20 feet (in minor flood stage) late Saturday morning, according to the Congaree Riverkeeper https://www.facebook.com/congareeriverkeeper
Then there was more rain Saturday night and Sunday morning, so river levels are expected to remain high for a few more days.
The Cayce and West Columbia Riverwalks are closed because of the flooding and the water level at Congaree River at Congaree National Park is high. The forecast is for it to remain in minor flood stage for a few days.
