Irmo Fire and Lexington County EMS crews were on the scene of a vehicle collision involving an occupied school bus, Wednesday afternoon. It occurred on St Andrew’s Road near Carriage Lane.

No students were injured, according to an Irmo Fire District report.

The students on the bus were transferred to another bus and that bus continued the route.

Police asked that drivers to avoid the area because multiple lanes were blocked and traffic was backed up until the site was cleared and lanes reopened. (Irmo Fire District photo)
