Lexington Medical Center allowing no visitors; processing large vaccine requests

Lexington Medical Center is not allowing visitors.

The south entrance of the hospital is currently closed. All approved visitors must use the main entrance off East Hospital Drive.

The ER policy varies a little.

One visitor is allowed to accompany a non-COVID-19 patient to the Emergency Department. If the emergency department lobby reaches capacity, the visitor must wait in their vehicle until patient goes to an exam room. The visitor must stay in the patient’s exam room at all times, and may accompany the patient to his/her inpatient room if admitted. Visitors can only stay in inpatient rooms for 1 to 2 hours to get the patient settled, talk with the nurse and provide any additional information prior to leaving.
