Lexington County Coroner, Margaret Fisher, has identified the individual who died in a single-vehicle accident in the 6500 block of Augusta Highway in Leesville at approximately 4:45 a.m., Saturday, in Lexington County.

According to Fisher, Mr. Terrance D. Brunson, 33, of Batesburg was driving southbound on Augusta Highway when he left the right side of the road, hitting a utility pole, and then overturning. Mr. Brunson, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the vehicle, who was wearing their seatbelt at the time of the accident, was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the incident.
