Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has released the identity of a woman who was shot and killed during an incident, Tuesday at approximately 4 p.m. in the Kroger store parking lot on St. Andrews Road in the Irmo.

Fisher said that Mrs. Alexandria Cress Borys, 26, of Irmo, was shot after a verbal altercation. Mrs. Borys was pronounced dead on scene due to a single gunshot wound to the head.

The Irmo Police Department with the assistance of the State Law Enforcement Division as well as the Lexington County Coroner’s Office continue to investigate this incident.
