Lexington County Fire Service units responded to a commercial structure fire just after 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of Brookhill West. The Lexington Police Department assisted with crowd and traffic control.

Arriving units discovered smoke and fire coming from a commercial dryer system at the laundry facility of the complex and immediately began extinguishing the fire. It was quickly brought under control before any further damage was caused.

In total, the fire caused an estimated $10,000 in damage, but no injuries were reported.
