Lexington County Coroner, Margaret Fisher, has identied the individual who died in a single-vehicle accident in the 1600 block of Pine Plain Road in Swansea at approximately 8:30 P.M. on January 22, in Lexington County.

According to Coroner Fisher, Mr. Jackson Ryan Mack, 18, of Gaston was driving northbound on Pine Plain Road when he left the right side of the road and hit a tree. Mr. Mack, who was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the incident.
