For a fine dining experience on New Year’s Eve, Terra is taking reservations and reservations are recommended, said Mike Davis, chief chef and Terra’s owner. “We are always busy on New Year’s Eve,” he said.
“We are now taking reservations via Resy and over the phone for New Year’s Eve,” Davis said, “Our table reservations are filling up fast. We’re really busy on New Year’s Eve.”
At Terra, 100 State St., you can get a seat that offers a stunning view of the Columbia skyline.

The New Year’s Eve menu includes many options. You can choose from; crispy flounder; salmon stuffed with shrimp, crab meat, and ricotta, with a garlic white wine sauce; Sea bass, Pasta Alla Al; veal galasso, mushroom ravioli, filet mignon, and many more options.

For New Year’s Day!
Lizard’s Thicket, at 2234 Sunset Blvd. is also a hot spot on New Year’s day for pork chops, black eyed peas and greens from WP Rawl Farms in Lexington County. Lizard’s Thicket will serve thousands of servings of collard greens, black-eyed peas and pork chops. These dishes are all staples of a traditional Southern New Year’s Day meal said to bring luck and wealth for the coming year.
New Year’s Day has been Lizard’s Thicket’s busiest day of the calendar year for several years running, said Katie Alice Walker of Lizard’s Thicket. The restaurant anticipates similar crowds on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2023. Lizard’s Thicket will also celebrate its 45th anniversary in January 2023. Last year, Lizard’s Thicket diners ordered nearly 6,000 pork chops and 9,037 servings of black-eyed peas. The restaurant also sold 9,109 servings of fresh collard greens.
Lizard’s Thicket will begin serving lunch, including pork chops, black-eyed peas and collard greens at 11 a.m.
