A record 7 Gray Collegiate football players make the All-State team
Gray Collegiate Academy in West Columbia landed seven high School football players on the AA All-State team. The Gray players selected were: JT Sowell; Zeb Taylor; Riley Staton; Elijah Radden; Devin Johnson; Blake Croft; and Jordan Robinson; and Devin Johnson. According to Gray Founder Todd Helms, seven is the most ever number of Gray players selected for a post-season all-state team.
The South Carolina Football Coaches Association named its all-state teams, Friday. The players selected were voted on by the SCFCA. Players were nominated by their coaches.
Johnson, Robinson and Radden were selected to play in post-season all-star games including the the Palmetto I-20 All Star game, the North-South game and the Carolina Bowl. (Photo credit Keith Anderson)
