The Cayce Police Department, along with the SC Highway Patrol, the West Columbia Police Department, and the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, were on the scene of an accident involving a motorcycle and vehicle, Saturday night.

At approximately 8:03 p.m., the vehicle was leaving the parking lot of the Three Fountains Skating Rink, at 2724 Emanuel Church Road. As the vehicle pulled on to Emmanuel Church Road, an individual driving a motorcycle going in the direction of Old Barnwell Road collided with the vehicle.

The driver of the motorcycle is deceased. The driver of the vehicle was not injured. Preliminarily, Cayce’s certified Accident Reconstruction Team believes speed to be a contributing factor. Additional information will be released by Coroner, Margaret Fisher as soon as it becomes available.

The Cayce Police Department asked that drivers avoid the 2700 block of Emmanuel Church Road, Saturday night until the scene was cleared. (Photos from the crash below)
