The Lexington County Fire Service responded to a structure fire on Friday night.

LCFS responded to the 1300 block of Caulks Ferry Road in Lexington at around 9:30 p.m., Friday. The chicken house on the property was fully involved upon arrival. Thousands of birds burned according to the chicken house owner.

Crews worked until the fire was completely under control. No injuries were reported but the building was a total loss. Batesburg-Leesville Fire Department assisted. (LCFS photos)
