Sunday night at approximately 11:30 a tractor-trailer collided with a vehicle on Augusta Road at 12th Street in West Columbia, according to the West Columbia Police Department.

The crash resulted in two fatalities. The WCPD is investigating the collision. At 7:30 a.m. Monday, the WCPD reported all lanes going east and west on Augusta Road were closed at the intersection while the road was being cleared and crews worked to restore power to the traffic lights.
