GoFundMe account for family of Lexington County Sports editor’s son who died in crash
If you’re a fan of high school athletics, you may know Thomas Grant Jr. He is the sports editor for The Lexington County Chronicle. You may have seen him, with camera, at Airport High School, Brookland-Cayce or Gray Collegiate.

Thomas Alonzo Grant, III was the 19-year-old son of two loving parents in Columbia, SC.
He was one of three people killed Sept. 11 in a tragic car accident on I-77 in Chester County. The driver who hit them reportedly drove on the wrong side of the highway and would have faced felony DUI charges, but died at the scene as well.
Thomas graduated a year ago from Dreher High School and had a bright future ahead of him. His untimely death has left a huge void in his family’s life and an unnecessary financial burden.
