The Cayce-West Lions Club contributed a check to the Toys for Tots campaign. The Lions also gave a box of toys.

Toys for Tots is just one of the community outreach programs that the C-WC Lions contribute, to.

Pictured are: Lion Jimmy Hofer, Sgt. Ridge Maignan of the US Marine Corps, and Lion Bill Mooneyhan. The meeting was held at Grecian Gardens. Toys for Tots will be collected until Friday. Then the toys will be distributed.

Columbia Toys for Tots provides toys, books and stocking stuffer toys for our community’s families in Richland, Lexington, Saluda, Fairfield, Kershaw and Newberry counties. Help us spread the word. Last year, nearly 10,000 local children received Toys for Tots gifts from Columbia Toys for Tots.

Toys for Tots began in 1947 when Major Bill Hendricks, USMCR and a group of Marine Reservists in Los Angeles collected and distributed 5,000 toys to needy children.
